The Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs invited stakeholders, interested persons and parties to make written submissions on the Immigration Amendment Bill [B8 – 2024].

Enquiries and written submissions were to be directed to the Committee Secretary, Mr Eddy Mathonsi, at ImmigrationBill@parliament.gov.za, by no later than Friday 22 November 2024 at 16:00.

Calls for comment like this one are the point at which legislation is still movable. They are also, routinely, the point at which almost nobody writes in — which is how provisions that affect people for a decade get settled in a committee room in an afternoon.
