The voters’ roll closes around 4 August for the November 2026 local elections. After that date you cannot vote, and you cannot change where you vote.
Register even if you are not sure whether you will vote, or who for. Without registering, you do not get to decide later. That is the whole argument.
It takes five minutes
- The website does not use your data bundle.
- You receive an OTP on your phone, valid for three minutes.
- You need a photograph of the front of your ID.
If you registered before, confirm your ward and voting station — some wards have changed.
