Three countries have announced they will boycott Eurovision 2026 over Israel’s continued participation, and three more have indicated they are considering it.
Eurovision fans and artists can register their opposition by boycotting the event, the participating performers and the broadcasting stations.
Now the pressure moves to football
This is the moment to step up pressure on UEFA and FIFA, where football fans have real weight.
- Write to UEFA and FIFA stating that you intend to boycott the Champions League — watching and attending — on matchday 6 (9–10 December) and matchday 7 (20–21 January).
- Follow through: do not watch or attend those matches, and if UEFA has not acted, do the same in January.
- Write to Champions League sponsors saying you will stop supporting their brands if Israel is still participating by 20 January.
- Speak to friends, family and other fans and bring them into it.
The reason this sequence works is that broadcasters and sponsors pay for an audience. An audience that says in advance it is leaving is the only message in that chain that gets read.
