The Bridge Initiative at Georgetown University launched its report Hindutva in Britain, with a panel discussion on Tuesday 21 November 2023.

The Panel

  • Kazim Ukka — Researcher at the Community Policy Forum. BSc in International Relations and History, and an MSc in Conflict Studies, both from the London School of Economics.
  • Mobashra Tazamal — Associate Director of The Bridge Initiative. Her work focuses on the impact of War on Terror discourse and state-sponsored Islamophobia around the globe. Master’s degree from SOAS, University of London.
  • Dr Fatima Rajina — Senior Legacy in Action Research Fellow at the Stephen Lawrence Research Centre, De Montfort University, Leicester. Her work looks at British Bangladeshi Muslims and their changing identifications and perceptions of dress and language. Formerly a Research Assistant at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge, working on police and counter-terrorism.
  • Dr Chris Allen — Associate Professor in the School of Criminology, University of Leicester. He has researched Islamophobia in the UK for more than two decades, including anti-Muslim discourse among the British far right. His most recent book, Reconfiguring Islamophobia, was published in 2020.
