  • DR. MAKHOSI KHOZA – FORMING OF NEW POLITICAL PARTY

The South African Muslim Network congratulates you on the formation of your new political party. The recent events have shown the necessity for alternative voices and ethical and moral leadership in our country. History throughout the world has now clearly shown that many liberation movements struggle in the post democratic phase to rule in a way that brings about benefit to all the citizens in the country and politicians are easily given to manipulation, corruption, nepotism and reactive politics. Our community would like to know your position and the position of your political party regarding foreign policy as far as the Middle East is concerned, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and whether you support the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign that the Palestinians have asked for and that was so successful in bringing about our own democratic revolution.

We will always remember Mr. Chiba as a selfless and dedicated freedom fighter who dedicated his life to the liberation and service of the people of South Africa. His contribution to the struggle for democracy, justice and peace for all South Africans is a legacy which will forever remain in the annals of South African history. The South African Muslim Network extends our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time of grief.
