  • Congratulations Springboks! Rugby World Cup 2019 Champions

    The South African Muslim Network (SAMNET) congratulates the Springboks on a spectacular performance in Japan and becoming the Rugby World Cup 2019 champions.

    We have experienced the truth in Madiba’s words that sport has the power to inspire and unite people in a way that little else does. The Springboks have created hope where there was once despair and have taught us that it is possible to achieve our goals if we work together as one.

    We are immensely proud of the team not only for winning the Webb Ellis Cup but also, for winning the Team of the Year award. Congratulations to our courageous Coach Rassie Erasmus for being named Coach of the Year, and the determined Pieter-Steph du Toit on being Player of the Year.

    The South African Muslim Network (SAMNET) wishes the coaching team, management and staff and most importantly our Springbok players well for the upcoming Rugby World Cup semi-final against Wales this Sunday.

    It is impressive to witness our team working together for the country. Indeed, we are stronger together.
